Spring!

This reminds you that I'm still selling necklaces. ;) Plus it's cute! Click image to visit my shop!

Happy Vernal Equinox! I think it technically turned spring at 9pm Saturday night (PST), but the calendars are all saying today, since they go by UTC. Whatever, the point is, SPRING.

Also, Palm Sunday. :) [Palm tree emoji]

Oregon is being Oregon, so it's gray and rainy outside right now. We've had a few nice days here and there, but the weather is definitely not like it was last year. Maybe the plus side will be a cooler summer with fewer bugs? So far I'm semi-coping, but I'm definitely tired of the rain since it's felt almost non-stop since early December.

But here's the fun side of rain:

Droplets!
Oh sure, let's post another of the ladybug. He was having a rough day, but I appreciated him letting me take pictures. Eventually I moved him to a dry area after my sister got sad that I had left him alone (initially). The same sister who freaks at the sight of most other bugs. :P

And of course the rain means we get greenery and flowers. And I like those okay. :) (This was one of our few nice days!)

The tulips are blooming!

I don't know what this is.

This squirrel was so close and not scared!!

I was surprised to see this color of what I believe was a small Japanese Magnolia tree.

 Greengate Images Keychains

Hey, one more mention of my shop, because I just have to be that way now (sorry). I'm selling keychains. You can have a pendant put on a keychain instead of made as a necklace! Clips can go on bags, if not on your keys. :)

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful Easter!

Spring video

I'll quit talking about how seldom I post here. Obviously my blog is not a priority!

However, apparently making a random video is high on the list, though it really only took a few minutes. It's super short. Recently I've remembered that my new camera has video, so I've taken a few clips here and there while I'm out taking pictures. I thought it might be fun to put them together for you. Don't get too excited, my only video editor is Windows Movie Maker. :)

Also, I've been wanting to use this song on something ever since the first time (or maybe seventh time...who knows...) I heard it on Parks and Rec. Even if it isn't May yet, and some of this video was taken in March. Details!

And here are a couple more photos of those adorable goslings that I saw just tonight. Sometime maybe I can show you the ducklings from the other day, plus some flower photos from the past couple of months. Maybe!

Dewy pictures I took at Christmas

One morning during Christmas break, we woke up to a lot of fog outside. After breakfast I decided to go outside with my camera, and some of my nieces joined me at various points to observe the dew on the plants around my parents' yard. It was a fun nature break!

One of just a couple of remaining roses.

I had N stand behind the rosebud on the right so I could have her pink shirt as a background.

A closer crop on this rose.

My main fog companion, N. She was so sweet as she helped me find things to photograph and seemed genuinely in awe of all the pretty little details we came across. She also found some walnuts that the crows had dropped.

The previous night, someone found a little snail, so K held it up for me.

These remind me of those outdoor strings of lights that they have at parties and restaurants.

I went a little photo crazy on this.

I also had L stand behind it so she could show up in the droplets.

Closeup on a windshield.

Thanks for looking!

Pictures of everything (4)

I have a few more photos to finish off this series, which is good because I'm ready to move on to the next! (More on that in a minute.)

This feels like forever ago now. Why was I here again? ;) Okay, I think I already talked about how I dropped by the winery when I noticed all the yellow vines. Plus, Willamette Valley Vineyards has an awesome view. I love that place! Maybe it needs its own label.

Hey, beautiful!

It feels like I already posted this, but I've tried not to overlap. Though I'd be surprised if I didn't accidentally post a photo in two different entries.

My favorite shade of green. This makes me think of the dress my mom sewed me for my 8th grade graduation. The fabric was dark green, but had black in it too so that it kind of changed shades a bit with the angle. Sort of like iridescent. I don't know what you call that, but it was awesome and my friends all admired it. :)

I photographed that little spider without knowing he was there! He was so tiny, and I was trying for droplets.

There's some sort of oozy stuff on the mushroom and I don't know what it is. Snail slime?

Huddle

The tiny tiniest of mushrooms.

Yay! You have reached the end of my Mushroom-Dew Obsession photos.

What's next on the agenda?

I'm glad you asked! We had some freezing rain, and the neighborhoods near mine were coated in ice. It was BEAUTIFUL, and I was fortunate enough to be able to take lots of pictures. I'm still narrowing them all down, but I hope to post them over the next week. If you follow me on Instagram, you're probably already tired of it! Too bad so sad.

Have a great weekend!
