Old post

Hey to anyone reading! Yesterday you may have received an old post from this blog in your email box. I'm not sure why that happened--Blogger is just weird. I had deleted a Black Friday post that was now outdated, and something must've triggered my blog to resend that old entry. Bizarre! Anyway, just in case you were wondering why I'd send that out of the blue. :)

On a personal note, in case any of you missed it (it's on other social media, so you probably know): I am getting married! Dan and I got engaged on Thanksgiving day and we are super excited about our future together. You can see a picture on my Facebook here and I'll post some more photos on the social media I use regularly in the future.

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving because mine was wonderful!!

Calendars

Hey there--in case any of you aren't on Facebook or Instagram with me, I wanted to mention that I made a couple of calendars for my shop. Click on each graphic to be taken to that calendar listing.

A wall calendar, which is on sale right now...

And this dahlia desktop calendar...

Also, I will be having a few non-calendar items on a good sale for Black Friday. Watch my Facebook or Instagram for previews of the discounts!

Thanks for looking! I hope you're having a great fall!

I used to blog

Hi, remember me? I know I ignore this blog, but it's just one of the things I've had to sacrifice in choosing social media and how to use my time. It's too hard to keep up here.

I don't know how many of you following me are not on any other social media with me. Probably not many, if any! But I wanted to let you know I'm *finally* on Facebook, at least for my Greengate business stuff. I'm NOT using my personal account (sorry), though. Anyway, I appreciate any Likes/Shares and participation on my business page since it helps get the word out (plus it's just more fun). Find me here:

How are you? I hope those of you I haven't talked to in awhile are having a great summer.

Oh and I also finally redid my photo portfolio site. It still has a few things to fix, but it's mostly up. You can check it out here: GreengatePhoto.com

Springtastica

Sometimes, when I'm taking pictures, I think, "I should document all of the flowers that are blooming in the area and provide a photo list to track everything!" I have a record-keeper side of me that has lots of brilliant ideas like this. It takes about half a second to remember that there is NO way to keep up. It seems like a slow start, but after January there are just too many different flowers coming up every day. And even though I am trying to learn more names, there are millions I don't know and would have to look up.

Anyway, how is your spring going? It's okay for me. I was counting on more consistently nice weather than we've had, so it's been different than I was envisioning. Last year I had so much fun constantly going out and getting new photos before I opened my Etsy shop, and this year we've had more rain and I've gone out less.

I've also been busy with other things, like personal projects, freelancing, portraits and having friends over for game nights! (Plus, you know, my full-time job.) I have felt very busy lately, especially since I tend to need plenty of down time. I have been a little stressed about it, but things seem to be tapering a little now.

There are too many pictures I could post, but I have been at this computer long enough. I'll just post a few and you can watch  my Instagram for more. :)

Also, I'm doing a little promo tomorrow for my Etsy shop's first birthday! Click the graphic to get to my store and check it out. Thanks!

Spring!

This reminds you that I'm still selling necklaces. ;) Plus it's cute! Click image to visit my shop!

Happy Vernal Equinox! I think it technically turned spring at 9pm Saturday night (PST), but the calendars are all saying today, since they go by UTC. Whatever, the point is, SPRING.

Also, Palm Sunday. :) [Palm tree emoji]

Oregon is being Oregon, so it's gray and rainy outside right now. We've had a few nice days here and there, but the weather is definitely not like it was last year. Maybe the plus side will be a cooler summer with fewer bugs? So far I'm semi-coping, but I'm definitely tired of the rain since it's felt almost non-stop since early December.

But here's the fun side of rain:

Droplets!
Oh sure, let's post another of the ladybug. He was having a rough day, but I appreciated him letting me take pictures. Eventually I moved him to a dry area after my sister got sad that I had left him alone (initially). The same sister who freaks at the sight of most other bugs. :P

And of course the rain means we get greenery and flowers. And I like those okay. :) (This was one of our few nice days!)

The tulips are blooming!

I don't know what this is.

This squirrel was so close and not scared!!

I was surprised to see this color of what I believe was a small Japanese Magnolia tree.

 Greengate Images Keychains

Hey, one more mention of my shop, because I just have to be that way now (sorry). I'm selling keychains. You can have a pendant put on a keychain instead of made as a necklace! Clips can go on bags, if not on your keys. :)

Thanks for reading and have a wonderful Easter!
